In recent years, Browser games have been developing very fast and are attracting more and more players. Some players even gave up MMO games to focus on Browser games instead. Graphics:
Normally MMO games feature stunning graphics, massive scenes and rich gaming experiences, and Browser games feature simple pictures, texts and flashes. Currently, Browser games are no match for MMO games concerning graphics, but we have to admit that more and more Browser games are beginning to pay more attention on graphics and some are even of the same standard with small size multi-player online games.
Gilfor's Tales is looked as the best graphically impressive browser game. It definitely has some of the best graphics and even better than some downloadable MMORPG.
Storyline:
Concerning storyline and content, Browser games can't compare with MMO games, but the gap is quite small. MMO games have a compelling storyline and massive content, and some Browser games also feature varied gameplay and wonderful backstory. For example,
Omerta is a text-based massive multiplayer RPG game, based on the stories about the legendary don Barafranca.
Set in the 1930's gangster and mafia world, the game is all about status, money and respect. Players get rank points by doing crimes, stealing cars and busting friends out of jail. You can even run you're own organised crime ring, robbing local banks and holding up cars on quiet roads. As you delve deeper into the dark gangster world, many players find other business opportunities, such as gambling clubs, reselling booze and even drug dealing.
System Requirements:
Browser games have a big advantage in this aspect. You have to download a big client if you want to play an MMO game and it usually requires a high specification computer. But for Browser games, the only thing it requires is a browser and in addition, Browser games usually cost less time and money. And if you want, you can play several Browser games at the same time!
